No Regrets

It's better to regret something you have done to regret something you haven't done. I love those risk takers in life that just do things and make things happen! Sometimes they are successful and sometimes they are not, but one thing is for sure, they didn't leave this earth with any regrets! Now is always the time to say the things we always wanted to say to family and friends since who knows what life deals us everyday. We never want anything left unsaid or how we felt about people who are important or made a difference in our lives. This applies to close friends and family or perhaps people who aren't as close but used to be and made you feel wonderful at the time. Anybody who has made a positive difference is owed a sincere Thank You and I'm glad we are friends or you made a difference. I have been reaching out to some people lately which has made me feel great since they know how I feel about them. And what is fantastic is that it has been bringing lots of smiles! When the heart is open and sincere, people feel it and hopefully receptive to the love. Of course, it's a risk and some may not want the gift but no matter what the response, I want people to know they made a positive difference!

I hope whoever reads this, tells someone how they feel with no regrets and the heart being wide open.....

How do people make you feel?

How people make you feel when you're around them is so important with family, friends, coworkers, etc. There are many people that radiate such positive energy that you feed off of them and you just feel better being around them! They smile, they laugh, they have wonderful outlooks on life and basically love life! Usually their lives are full of the same issues as other people but how they react and go forward is what makes them unique and admired. These are the people that feed your soul and if you're lucky to surround yourself with people like this, then most likely you are like that as well. I write alot about my family and friends because most of the people in my close circle have these wonderful outlooks on life and I feel truly blessed!

But life is not full of positive energy people all the time and how we react to people who are sad or negative is a choice. As the saying goes, happiness is a choice and not a destination. When we come into contact with sad or negative souls, we can sometimes avoid these people but if they are close to you or you can't avoid them, then how we react is the key. We can soak up the energy and have it drain us or we can have it bounce off of us. This choice is always ours! Life it way too short to not be happy and there are so many wonderful people in the world to share this with!

Who We Are

Change is good for all of us and enhancing our lives for the better is a continual goal. There are people we meet in our lives who may question for good or bad who we are to the core and sometimes it makes us question if we want to make some changes within ourselves. We ponder, we analyze and then we decide whether it's a positive change or just a characteristic unique to ourselves and if we changed it, it would not be for our self but for someone else. This to me, is where we need to be true to ourselves and love and adore who we are and be elated with our uniqueness. We are so wonderfully unique and none of us are perfect...thank goodness! Some of us may wear our heart on our sleeves and some of us may be a bit more guarded and not as expressive. If there is love and goodness in the heart, then how we express ourselves isn't as important as the true feeling inside. No matter how we express our goodness, we always must remember to love and adore our own self before we can truly love and adore another.

Happy New Year 2012

Happy New Year and a time to reflect but more importantly a time to look forward to the future!! 2011 had some difficult times for my family but as 2011 marched onward, everything seemed to look upward and now 2012 will be filled with lots of memorable times.

2011 was a pretty nice year for me personally and I've met some wonderful people and had some wonderful times last year! Life is nice.

Every year is an evolution of the person you used to be and we incorporate new things into our life and release the old that is no longer needed. It's wonderful to meet people with new perspectives and realize how you incorporate what's working for them into your own life. We are essentially the same person but we add little tidbits that makes us better and happier whatever that might be. As time marches on, me and the people close to me just become more calm and wiser. We realize what's truly important in life and what just doesn't matter. Everyday is precious and all the moments we have are cherished.

2012 is going to be wonderful!

Happy Thanksgiving

What a wonderful day to count your blessings and be grateful for all we have. I always look forward to the holidays with lots of family, stories, laughter and great times! Somebody usually botches something with the cooking and our family quickly follows up with some warm hearted teasing! I'm opening myself up this year for the annual teasing so it's my turn to be the recipient. I feel extraordinarily grateful for my family and could not have asked for a better one. I am truly blessed with a best friend who has been by my side for 25 years plus. I have a wonderful job and my health is perfect! I have a wonderful home and all the little toys that I need. I am blessed for sure...

It is truly a wonderful day to reflect on all our blessings and feel our hearts warm with love...

Change

It's amazing how time and age change people for the better. For most of us, when we are younger, we tend to think silly, smaller and non significant issues are a big deal. We think they mean a lot, but when you get older and reflect back on some of the issues that got our goat, we realize, what was I thinking? And usually have a big laugh over it!

It becomes very apparent when we don't see people for a long time and we have this memory of what the person used to be and assume they are the same person. It's true that some things do not change, but it seems most folks are more easy going about life in general. And probably what used to irritate us about a person just doesn't anymore because we have changed as well!

Age does bring wisdom for sure and all our life experiences mold and change us for the better.

Happy New Year 2011

The first day of a New Year is just truly energizing!! It represents a fresh start, fresh perspective and leaving the old behind!

I for one, am looking forward to 2011 and feel it's going to be a very memorable and happy year! I'm glad some of heaviness of 2010 is behind us and ready to make forward in the present and future.

Resolutions are great as well. While some people think they are short term behavior changes, sometimes they really result in significant changes! For 2011, my resolutions are more about visiting certain places and moving forward and leaving some things back in 2010!!
